As part of a global Read font family developed at Black[Foundry] by the Black[Team] I was comissioned to design a cyrillic script. A challenging project that involved designing a typeface that works seamlessly onboard and off-board, on physical and digital elements, on screen and in print and complements the Renault, Alpine and Dacia brand typefaces. A common challenge designing Cyrillic is finding the right touchpoints with the Latin family and making the two scripts as closely connected as possible.
